I met Lorena Bathey through Facebook. I "liked" her fan page and she "liked" the Simply Smashing! fan page, and we got to communicating. Lorena bought some fab vintage furniture from me (posted on fB, but of course) and I bought her book, "How I Became My Own Fairy Godmother," which she was so sweet to sign :) Long story, short... I LOVED her book and am excited to dig in to her new "Beatrice Munson" masterpiece! So happy with Lorena's work, in fact, that we've invited her to present a book signing at an upcoming (June) Diva Day at Simply Smashing! Diva Day is an ongoing event to raise for breast cancer awareness and other charities, held at Simply Smashing! in partnership with our friends from Bella Diva, Desserts by Jeanette and Cara, Spirit of Health, among others. We'll post more about Diva Day soon :)
